Restorative Aerial Yoga
Improve your Strength, Flexibility, and Balance.
Restorative / Yin yoga is an active relaxation that helps stimulate and relax the body to become more balanced. Adding this practice to your routine helps restore the body and is especially beneficial for times when you feel weak, fatigued, or stressed.
Poses are held for longer periods of time - anywhere from 3-10 minutes - allowing the body to relax through your breathing. The goal is to feel the pose, but there should be no sharp or piercing pain. Once you find your edge, it is about finding stillness in the pose and connecting with your breath. The discomfort is stress leaving your body. The ultimate goal is to find three kinds of stillness: body, breath, and mind.
Restorative/Yin Yoga has been shown to relieve the effects of chronic stress. Your spine is moved in all directions, helping to reverse the effects of gravity. It stimulates and soothes the internal organs and balances the energy in our bodies so you are neither overstimulated nor depleted. We stretch all areas of the body to allow for the release of toxins and blocked energy.
